This may be one of the best games Square has ever released.

Final Fantasy VII is about a 21 year-old boy who is trying to remember his past. Cloud once believed that he was a member of "Soldier", under the guidence of Sephiroth. After joining the rebellion group, Avalanche, Cloud soon finds that his life, his past, was all a memory of someone else. .

Avalanche's goal is to stop Shinra and its plot to drain the planet of it's Mako energy. Later they find out that Sephiroth is their true enemy. With the power of mako, Sephiroth becomes "more than human" as he manipulates Cloud into giving him the Black materia. With the power of the materia, Sephiroth summons Meteor to destroy the planet.

Feeling hopeless, Avalanche's and the planet's only way to stop Meteor is Aeris. Aeris posesess a power that few know about. Being a decendent of the Ancients, she is the only one that has the ability to use Holy. This faith in Holy, however, dies early in the game. Before she falls to Sephiroth's blade, Aeris was praying for Holy to come and save the planet. No one knows wether or not if her prayer was heard.

The greatest mystery of all while playing is Cloud's past. It is best to try and unlock all of the cinematic scenes the first time to get the truth about what has happened to Cloud and to see what he really is.

Final Fantasy VII is full of surprises, twists and turns that will keep you wanting to play it hours on end. With it's storyline beautiful cinema scenes its amazing that this game is still on top.

Disclaimer: Being a very indepth game, I was unable to get very far without the help of a strategy guide. Therefor I will not provide a walkthrough for this game.
